Window and door work is physical, precise, and finished at the end of every shift. You show up, you install a unit correctly, and a homeowner has a better home than they did at 7 a.m. That’s the job. At Westlight Windows & Doors, we’ve been doing it that way since 2009 – part of the Kingswell network, independently operated, and built around one idea: More light, less noise, lower bills. What that means on a crew is simple. We give every customer a written price before a single screw turns. We show up when we said we would. We leave the site clean. And if the work isn’t right, we come back and make it right. If you want to work for a company that actually runs the way it says it does, read on.
Who We’re Looking For
- Window Installation Technician – Someone who can read a rough opening, set a unit plumb and square on the first try, and caulk a line that doesn’t need a second pass.
- Door Installation Technician – Detail-oriented with a good feel for framing; you care whether a Therma-Tru entry door swings and seals the way it’s supposed to, not just whether it closes.
- Apprentice / Helper – Willing to carry, learn, ask good questions, and do the prep work that makes the lead look sharp. Experience matters less than attitude here.
- Lead Installer – You’ve run a job start to finish, you know how to keep a crew on schedule without cutting corners, and you can have a direct conversation with a homeowner when something unexpected comes up.
- Dispatcher / Scheduling Coordinator – Calm under pressure, good on the phone, and the kind of person who can build a daily route that actually makes sense rather than one that looks good on paper.
- Customer Service Representative – Our phones are answered by a live person 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – that’s not a marketing line, it’s a staffed position. We need people who are steady, clear, and genuinely helpful when a homeowner calls.
What We Offer
Real Training and a Path from Apprentice to Lead
We don’t hand you a manual and point you at a job. New installers and helpers work alongside experienced crew members on real projects with real product lines – PGT, CGI, ECO Window Systems, Therma-Tru, and the rest of the eight lines we stock and install. The path from apprentice to lead is concrete and merit-based, not based on how long you’ve been around. If you can do the work and back the brand’s standards, the title follows.
Work You Can Be Proud Of
The Kingswell Guarantee isn’t a slogan we put on a truck. It’s the operating standard: written price before work starts, a committed arrival window, a clean job site, and a written guarantee handed to the homeowner when the job is done. Our 365-Day Done Right Promise means if something isn’t right, we come back and fix it – no charge, no argument. Working inside that structure means you finish a job knowing it was done correctly, not quickly.
A Local Crew Backed by a National Brand
Westlight is independently owned and operated, which means you’re working with a local crew that knows the local market. But you’re also backed by the Kingswell network – that means vendor relationships, product access across eight manufacturer lines, and operational systems that aren’t cobbled together from scratch. It’s a real advantage on a job site and in a supply chain.
Steady, Year-Round Demand
Windows and doors aren’t seasonal in the way some trades are. Homeowners replace windows in spring and winter alike. Entry doors fail on no particular schedule. We’re not a company that hires in March and goes quiet in October. The work is consistent, and we staff accordingly.
No Experience? Read This.
If you’ve spent time in construction, general contracting, carpentry, moving, or any trade that required you to measure twice and lift without complaining, more transfers than you’d think. Window and door installation has a real skill curve – product knowledge, flashing details, shimming a frame that wasn’t quite square to begin with – but none of it is out of reach for someone who’s patient and precise.
In your first months, you’ll work as a helper on installed jobs. You learn the product lines by handling them, not by reading about them. You learn the Kingswell Guarantee by living it on every job. Most career-changers who come in willing to do the grunt work well find themselves comfortable with the technical side faster than they expected. What we can’t teach is showing up on time, keeping a job site clean, and treating a homeowner’s home with respect. If you’ve already got those things, the rest is training.
How to Apply
Call us at (903) 354-7134 or use the application form below. When you reach out, tell us where you’re based, what kind of work you’ve done with your hands, and when you’re available to start.
